Video Tour Diary Day 7: David Lat & Steve Brill; Bye Bye NYC, Hello DC
Tour
We couldn't leave Manhattan without a hearing from two of the lawyers responsible for changing the face of legal journalism -- both 30 years ago and right now.
Legal Rebel David Lat, the founder of the legal Web tabloid Above the Law sat down for a face-to-face with Steve Brill, the founder of American Lawyer magazine and Court TV.
The famously opinionated Brill told Lat that if his old magazine was doing its job online, there'd be no place for Lat's ATL.
Right after that sit-down, we packed up and hit the highway, driving about 230 miles south to the nation's capital, where we head into the final phase of our two-week tour.
Here's the daily video tour recap, filmed as we cruised down I-95:
Here's a techno slide show from our last hours in NYC and first in DC:

And I note, in passing that Ed (called out on the Buzz) did lose the white shirt and tie for the ride to DC.
Crew, if Murphy’s in DC is still open, and still has live music, you really should visit! (They knew some “Rebel” songs when last I was there).
